Graciela graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Biomedical Engineering. During her undergraduate studies Graciela received two NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards and studied ACET technique for lab-on-a-chip applications. During this time, she used Multiphysics software packages to create ACET Technique models and plan physical experiments. Aside from this Graciela gained industry experience by completing an internship with Fluid Biomed and through her capstone project on Passive Mucosal Sampling Capsules with Nimble Science, which won Gold in the multidisciplinary category of the Capstone Design Fair at the University of Calgary.
