Gavin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Guelph. During his undergraduate studies, Gavin gained valuable experience in the medical device industry, specifically in the field of oral prosthetics. Building upon his initial industry exposure, Gavin furthered his career by joining Baylis MedTech as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on interventional and neurovascular products. In this role, he actively contributed to the development and testing of both new and existing products. Gavin possesses knowledge in areas such as New Product Introduction (NPI), compliance with ISO and FDA standards, bench testing, verification and validation procedures, as well as the development of MATLAB scripts for data analysis.
